Yesterday during a ride on a smooth, paved road I heard a pop as if my tire blew out, but when I got off my bike I noticed that the hub on my 2013 Zipp 808 (front) cracked off. 3 spokes were flailing in the wind and the section of hub that held them had broken off completely. This is probably covered by Zipp, but my concern is safety. I was lucky this time as the damage was limited to the hub. I tend to sweat quite a bit and am very diligent about cleaning my bike frame, but probably haven't paid enough attention to the hubs. Does anyone have any experience/thoughts on hub protection/maintenance?

2013 908 Zipps definitely included in the recall posted above. Get the fri t she'll to a dealer for shipment back to Zipp for a rebuild.
Definitely part of the recall, my front is still okay but I'll be sending it in sometime in the next month for the free replacement.
