Qr Lucero Q
So, for those of you who have had the pleasure of seeing a Lucero up close, is that an actual aero downtube? In promo pics it appears more oval. Any insight?

Better yet, did anyone do their own ametuer porn shoot with it?

Herb, can I have one? I would promise to stop posting poltical topics, whatayasya?

It looked aero to me.... I don;t know, that is always a controversy. It is a LOT more aero than a mattress. :)

Do you want me to make promises and then not keep them? :-)
We actually had a Lucero displayed at IMFL at the InsideOut Sports booth and maybe some of the other racers can comment on it since I am considered possibly "too biased." Plus some of you may have seen a Lucero in Kona, with a dorky German on it.

I saw one in Chicago (no pic, sorry). To me relatively untrained eye it looked aero.

FWIW of course.

They had one displayed in Kona at the expo and were using it to model a Never Reach drink system. I think that the tubes had pretty aero-looking shapes to them but I was having my examination of the bike interrupted by the Never Reach person trying to explain the benefits of their product (the Never Reach looks pretty cool too but at the time I was way more interested in checking out the new carbon QR!).

I had the same experience at the expo. The wife and I were quietly admiring the Lucero (with Aero tubes), when we got an unwanted and aggressive NeverReach demo. I'm quite sure half the people looking at it never even noticed the fish bowl hooked on the seatpost. It really is a great looking bike.
