Power Tap and Campy
Will a Powertap - not Sl, but the PT Pro or standard - work with Campy 10? Assume a wheels mfg or am classic conversion cassette.

Taken from the American Classic website:

The following wheels and hubs are incompatible with American Classic Conversion cassettes. Shimano pre-built paired spoke wheelsets, and ALL Powertap hubs.

You are correct, but that doesn't change the fact that I've used - successfully - AM Classic conversion cassettes with my PT wheel for the past 2+ years.

It's your choice. I think I'll listen to manufacturers warnings however.

As you should. Cassettes are ticking time-bombs.

if I'm not mistaken, Powertap hubs (standard and Pro) use stock ShimaNO cassette bodies. unless there's an issue with the cassette rubbing against the hub flange, then Am Classic cassettes should theoretically work ... so I wonder why Am Classic says no (after all, they do work on stock Shimano hubs, if not the prebuilts).
