PowerCranks to XC ski transition

After a summer of riding Powercranks, I got on the snow this weekend for two short classic skis of 1 hour each. Usually, after the first outings, my hip flexors, upper quad and groin are toast and I can barely walk. This year, nothing at all. Tomorrow, I'll head out to skate ski and see if there is any appreciable impact on the first few workouts that are always painful and slow.

This winter, I plan to ride the PC's once or twice a week for ~ 45 min - 60 min working on 110 RPM cadence riding. I don't buy the slow cranking stuff. That is fine for the initial adaption, but after that, may as well try to ride like Lance...hell, even Jan is trying to up his cadence and his knees are thanking him !
