From the sizes of the P3 carbon and P3SL I have seen it looks like us 5'9" guys who want 650c wheels are out of luck. Am I right?

Where did you get these sizes? They're not on the Cervelo site. They're still listing a 54/650 P3 on the site, albiet it's not the models you're referring to.

www.all3sports.com has them for sale with these listed sizes. My LBS also said that the SL came in those sizes. I believe the P3 will be available in 54 650, but after seeing the SL and Carbon, it would be a bit disappointing to be riding around on the white and red bike. (Just a tiny tiny bit)

The P3 (red/white) has a 54cm/650c size (available with DuraAce in 2004 and Ultegra 10-speed in 2005), the P3 SL and Carbon do not.

Gerard,
Just curious why you're getting rid of some of the 650 models in favor of the 700 wheels?

We're not, you guys are. Nobody is buying them, and we're not building 650c 54cm frames because they look pretty in our warehouse, we'd build them so somebody can ride them.
That said, there is a good reason why there is less demand for 650c bikes in mid-sizes. With the integrated headtube, you can get the front end low enough in those sizes even with 700c wheels. That didn't use to be the case.

I'd buy one, but that is beside the point. Are there more differences between the SL and the P3 other than just the paint? Couldn't you just anodize the P3 frame instead of painting it? I think you just made the SL and the carbon too cool looking and no one wants the red and white one anymore.
I would switch to 700c, but that adds an extra $1000+ for new race wheels. I can't be the only one in this situation.

"no one wants the red and white one anymore. "
I do! Sure the SL is sexier but hell I like the red and white.

I'm 24 hours from buying my first P3, in red and white.
Solid colors... plus, it'll match my road bike (not to mention all my clothes).

Let me rephrase: "Everyone wants a red and white one, most would just prefer the black"
