I'm telling ya, give that stuff I suggested a try. I once took a never-used Hooker hub shell from black, corroded, and pitted to mirror shiny in about 3 h (i.e., while watching a football game) using it.

I usually only watch the Superbowl, so I guess it will have to wait until January.

I don't know how I missed this post. I have been waiting to see that bike built up.

I wonder what I was doing on the 15th to have missed this post when it originally came up, I guess I need to start reading slowtwitch closer or stop working so much at work ;-)

Mmmm, I love white hookers, although I love the black ones equally well! I remember coming very close to pulling the trigger on a Cat1 back in the day, bought a Slingshot instead and have been kicking myself ever since.

Very nice Paulo, I think a black J-disc would be the ticket for the back end.

I still have my hooker "break-away" bar....(remember those??) it's actually pretty cool for road bars. Think I'll put it back on. ;-)

I will attribute it to being young and impressionable and I fell for the line that the spring downtube actually provided more power!

I was also close to a Slingshot dealer at that time and the Hooker was more expensive and harder to come by. I did make up for it by switching the Slingshot for a Softride Power V! ;-)
