have to go for work for a few days next week. the community center will be closed, so suggestions for OWS or another option for a lap pool? Lost Lake is close to where I'll be staying. How is the water temp?

Alta Lake hosts an Ironman swim so I imagine that is more than adequate for your purpose. Also, it's gorgeous. If you go to Whistler and swim in a lap pool...well, just don't do that.

Whistler tri club works out on the Blueberry Docks side of Alta lake on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. May want to give them a shout and see if you can sit in

Lost lake is a great place to swim. If you start at the main beach you can swim laps around the docks. I believe it is about a km loop. No idea what the temperature will be, but I have swam in the lake during August/early September with no wetsuit and it is comfortable. The lake is small
Plenty of trails to run on in the area around the lake as well

+1 on Alta Lake. There are permanent swim buoys from Rainbow Park. Easy walk from the village.
