No wetsuit swim question
We very rarely have non-wetsuit swims, race tomorrow will probs be non-wetsuit and having a look at my new trisuit it has 2 nice great big pockets on the back similar to cycling top pockets (like below). Surely this is going to create a shitload of drag? My swimskin is too tight (Xmas food and beers). I might be able to just race in my swimskin, just a sprint, you reckon it will be OK for a 5km run?

Have you swum in your swimskin recently??? It might stretch out a bit after 30 min or so in the water and then be fairly comfy. It's at least worth a try. :)

Yeah will probably wear it, trisuit has the same design as a swim dragsuit...

Ya you def do not want to race in a drag suit. And I expect you could run 5K in the 'skin assuming no major chafing issues. :)

Worst case scenario is the friction on the inner thighs from the bike/run wear out the seams / material and you end up with a finishline photo that you can sell on specialist websites to pay for a replacement swimskin and your bail.

And swim turned out to be a wetsuit swim for the first time in years.... and I left my wettie at home. Swam in my swimskin in the end and went OK. It's pretty quick. Be interesting to see how it would compare against a wetsuit.
