Neck, shoulder and back flexibility
Hi guys!

I recently had a bike fit with a Retul guy local to me, and during the fit he said the flexibility in my legs and lower torso was pretty good, so I can ride an aggressive position - but his advice was to work the flexibility of my neck, shoulders and upper back to be able to ride that position comfortably as I lack some flex there now.

Does anyone of you guys have tips to increase flex there? What exercises should I do and what stuff would I need for that? Foam roller and/or resistance band?

Thanks in advance!

there are many, many exercises out there in the world. If you do not already work with a PT perhaps your Fitter can recommend someone nearby. Identifying root cause of inflexibility helpful to target correct exercises. This should also apply to your swim technique too.

I love these guys, super engaging on their IG and they make me laugh. Plus the muscle drawings on the model are really cool.

This worked for me after a pretty serious rugby injury, prescribed by my phisio

Flip turns are great for increasing upper body flexibility, and swimming in general tends to increase overall flex. Further, it strengthens the back in a manner unlike any other exercise I'm aware of, b/c it increases back strength plus muscular endurance in those back muscles.
