Here is what I'd love to see:

Crowie surprises everyone and goes with Lieto. He thus runs much slower and has to fight to hold onto his lead and duke it out with Lieto while the fast runners chase.

Dibens goes off the front and a chase pack makes chrissie do all the work. Comes down to a foot race between chrissie and rinny.

It would be really fun to see competitive and surprising races in both races!
