Movie and documentary recommendations
Quote | Reply
Haven read the thread about good reads (https://forum.slowtwitch.com/...mendations_P6795716/) I was wondering if ST members have some movie or documentary recommendations. It would be nice if the movie/documentary is still available online, can be bought or shared. Personally I really dislike those cringy 'Triatlon motivation' vids on Youtube.

My recommendations:

* Free to Run
* Stop at Nothing
* Breaking 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2ZLG-Fij_4
* Through the eyes of the elite
* How to Run 100 Miles

bastards!

there's another one I loved but it might be even harder to find -- Over the Limit, about a Russian rhythmic gymnast. Don't worry about sport, it's really about the grind. She gets abused horrifically by her coaches but keeps at it . . .

Blood Road (it's available on Amazon & Redbull tv). Documentary following Rebecca Rusch's MTB ride along the Ho Chi Minh trail to the spot where her father was shot down over Laos.

Completely forgot 'Time Trail' (https://www.timetrialfilm.com/) saw it in the cinema, waiting till I can buy it. Looks like they're really trying to get everything out of that movie. It's already in the cinema for 1 year.

Alpinism was my former 'hobby', if you like this movie, then you want to see the docu: Beckoning the Silence.
