I may not make it to Kona because of it, but man! Alton Brown's homemade fried chicken is "Good Eats"!

Never heard of it, but I am a sucker for fried chicken. Is Alton Brown's a restaraunt?

He's the host of a TV show on the Food Channel called "Good Eats":

Here's the particular recipe (the show was "Fry Hard"):

I also love his french toast recipe.

All you non-chefs out there...watch Alton Brown a couple of times and you'll learn how to turn those dried out chicken breasts and nasty goopy oatmeal into "Good Eats"

Alton Brown is a food savant. I'm sure he has writers and researchers, but the information on his show is pretty cool. He did pizza and tomato sauce today, and I'm going to be making pizza this week.

Mostly my TV is occupied by Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder, Scooby Doo, and the worst of all The Wiggles.

I'll check this dude out, those recipies look very good.

Check out "The Magic School Bus". Great learning for the kids.

You gotta branch. Make your kid go for a long run or something and watch some grown-up TV. Unless of course you're the Wiggles fan. ;-)

Alton Brown is perfect for triathletes because he's kind of a food nerd. He appeals to the nerd in most triathletes. He explains all the chemical processes that tell you why and how to cook each food a certain way, and goes through the gear you'll need and what type to get in a pretty easy to understand way.

I disagree. I would rather watch the wiggles than the dreaded Boombah!

Alton Brown is one of best "Culinary" shows around.... I'm an ex-chef, and graduate of the Culinary Institue of America ('91 -Hyde Park, NY) and I'm alway's amazed of the information that I learn watching his show.
