Marble Falls 2013 - difficulty level??
Finished the half yesterday - great race/ event!

It was my first half; can anyone provide insight on the degree of difficulty of the course relative to other 70.3 distances (HITS, Ironman, etc...) would it be considered in the Easy, Moderate, or Difficult categories?

Thanks

I did the olympic race yesterday, and the half last year. This year's course was more difficult in a lot of ways, but the weather was also better. There are almost no flat sections, and you are more exposed to the wind, however, it is a 'better' course in the sense that it's safer and simpler.

I think it's the toughest bike and run course in the area, but I have never done the Kerrville event yet. Definitely in the difficult category overall.

This course is harder than Kerrville. The Kerrville course is pretty flat considering where it is located. I think this is one of the harder courses in the area, probably right on par with the Tall Texan course.

Should look into the Tri Tyler Half for a difficult 70.3. Not exactly "in the area" but not too far of a drive.
