yep. as a kid, i used to pore over the TV guide to find 20 minutes to mediocre TV coverage of tris on obscure cable channels . . . now we've got this. we really can't take for granted how lucky we are to have it. hats off to lionel and talbot - it really is awesome.

Yes! Love seeing Mama Sanders. You can tell she is not quite as used to the spotlight as her son though. :-)

Even Sam Long has grown on me and now I like to watch him interact with Lionel. He loves to poke at him but you get the feeling he is in awe of him.

Talbot, love the series and all your videos, thanks for the hard work.

Can't thank you enough Talbot for giving us average triathletes insights into Lionel and some of the other pros. You have helped us (or at least me) to see them as real people as opposed to just a name that swims, bikes and runs. Very well done...keep up the good work,

Thanks Talbot! These are really well done. Digging the appearances of the other athletes and Lionels mom. I will admit that due to these videos I am going to pay attention to the race (is it streaming on FB?)...whereas otherwise I would have come to slowtwitch tomorrow for a recap.

yep. i would have thought i was too cool for this, but i definitely find myself following and cheering for the people who I've seen on video. it does a great job of humanizing them.

I'm glad you made this more down to earth adding his mom in. I wish my parents would still participate in life...

That Long vs Sanders build-up certainly did not disappoint today.
Loved the series, I love the tone, the insights, and friendly rivalries. And what a great ending with today's race.
It was also nice to have a glimpse of Talbot on Ironman live stream at some point :'D (hard to miss with this helmet).

Sam Long...he is alternately endearing and annoying. I know “that guy” in many contexts, and I generally get along with him pretty well despite him chewing like a goof. Good on him for his success!

The series is really enjoyable.
