This is my second season back in triathlon ( a nine year hiatus). I feel 25 again!! Two years ago I felt like 60 or so and went going about like an old fart. Now I use training and triathlons to control my diabites.

I'm 28, old enough that my rugby players call me old (I coach college), but young enough I can still kick their asses when they do! ;) This is my second year of tri, and I love it :)

I'm young enough to still hurt myself doing bellyflop contests, and swimming too long underwater, and doing other normal, healthy teenage-type things, and old enough to hope the second half of my 1st century is a great as the first half. I used to think that by the time I reached the age I am that I'd be in the running for an age group title in Hawaii...but the guys in my age group would have been top ten overall twenty years ago! I'm still slower than I'd like to be, yet I ran my lifetime PR in the half marathon just two years ago. 51 years young in May.

So far, nobody is even close!!!! I must have a lot of people fooled!!!! I can't say whether I am insulted or flattered by the age guesses!!!! I am having fun with this!!!!
A few more clues:
Remember when Vittoria tyres were actually made in Italy
Remembered where I was when John Lennon died
Was in some sort of school when the Shuttle Challenger blew up (won't say which, as it could be a give away)
Cut my teeth riding on seven speed gruppos, and got better when it was eight
Nixon being investigated and eventual resignation- hmmm. I seem to remember that, but definitely remember the Dustin Hoffman/ Robert Redford film
Watched in awe at Star Wars, unfortunately not until it came out on RCA Selectavision video disc some seven years later; though was one of the few who did not see it in the theatres when it came out
Important dates:
Though John Lennon was not a Beatle anymore, he would not have a real solo career for quite awhile
Wicked Lester was the name of a band that two fellows named Chaim Witz and Stanley Eisen would later change their names and take on two new members to form a very important band in the '70s- and they lost the name Wicked Lester after firing everybody else
Paul Mc Cartney and Wings had a song on the charts titled "Mary Had a Little Lamb"
-and-
Campagnolo Super Record reigned supreme, while Shimano was labeled as a "cheap Japanese knock-off", and would not win a Tour de France victory for some twenty+ years later

40 in Brooklyn. Still writing poetry ("Riot in the Charm Factory" buy it on amazon.com), still listening to The Minutemen and Coltrane, still riding my Felt S32 (with a few upgrades), still somewhat poor, still married to my second wife, and still having a ball.

Well, I just turned 50 (same age as Bunnyman) and think it's great! Best thing about Triathlon is what awesome shape you get in. I have a better body than when I was Alpine ski racing at Mammoth Mountain in my twenties. I have my first race (of the season) at Lavaman on the Big Island next month and can't wait. I haven't run much this winter but I substituted Nordic skate skiing instead (feedback?). I'm glad the other old local (Bend, OR) Nordic racers haven't taken to Multisport: they might be skinny but they sure are fast!

I'm a young'un on the board at 26. Not that I expected anything really different.
From the clues Bunnyman, I'm guessing you're a bit lower on the age totem pole than people have considered. I'm going to say 33.

Bunnyman talks like an old timer, but he's younger than me. (Saw your name and age in some duathlon results one time Mr. Bunny).
I'm 37 and can still dunk! And I'm white! Take that Michael Jordan!

I will be 34 this year but my wife seems to think I act about 19. From reading everyones posts on here I am not in the minority on that one. But after any hard training workout I feel about 80!!!!
Hope everyone has a safe and fun season. No matter what the age.

Big EE, don't give it away.
The guesses are getting a lot closer, but here's one more clue:
I never mentioned JFK. Why do you think that is?
Look up the possible dates at the bottom of the post. Then you may have a better respect to dates.
First one who guesses correctly gets a Team SOB decal.
