Has anyone ever successfully replaced a zipper on a bike jersey before? I've had a couple of jerseys fail in the last year with sweat-corroded zippers. My mom has been trying to help me out and sew a replacement on. The sewing isn't the problem, but apparently finding a nylon zipper of the right length and tooth size is the hard part. One of the jerseys is the more recent Ironman-branded Zoot stuff.

I have taken three bike items to my local dry cleaner who has replaced all them - with an appropriate zipper - they seem to have access to many variations.

The bridge of the zipper on one of my wife's favorite bike jerseys broke off, so I took it to a tailor to repair. They had to replace the entire zipper as they could not find a suitable replacement zipper body. It was more expensive than I thought it would be, but overall probably worth it...
