"According GPS he's right there"

it's maddening, because i see him well behind, but then the feed says "2min ago" when others well ahead have a spot located "a few seconds ago." i hope he's right there. i'll defer to your judgment, as i like your judgment better.

i think that means, then, they're just about to nab the back of the front pack.

Seems like the riders positions are updating in groups making it hard to actually see where they are on the map. Trying to figure out where Jesse Thomas actually is... think he's a few riders behind Kienle... but cant tell

Click on the dot and it tells you how old the update is. Some dots are minutes old and others are seconds old.

Ya, his GPS is taking a bit to update unlike others. Sander's GPS did the same thing earlier in the bike for 10+ minutes.

Unless I am misreading, the twitter feed on the right of the live feed says Sanders is only 1 minute back of the leaders?! How did he make up so much time so quick?? Mistake?

At about 60km, Michael Weiss and Lionel Sanders are now 1:11 back from the leader. They will soon be on the back of the lead group. They are followed by James Cunnama. Kienle has dropped back a bit and is riding with Chevrot and Kramer.

So after his blog posts, will be interesting to see if he 'settles in' to the lead group, or if he takes off. Would love to see him win!!!!

J. thomas just outside of the top 20 and looking like he's riding well with Kienle a few riders in front of him. Hope JT can hang on to hi and still have a good run.

Data delay?

The live blogger just posted this:

After serving their penalties, Van Lierde & McMahon have been joined by Sanders at the bottom of the climb to Hawi.
