I would love for Sanders to bridge up to Rapp and they can push the pace a bit more.

Looks like Sanders is dropping his group and making his move. Pretty much now or never.Looks to be closing the gap now. He's very fortunate that the field doesn't have many gaps once he bridges up.

He's about 1/3 of a mile back from a quick estimate on the map

coverage says kienle/weiss within a minute of the lead group. it would be nice if jordan's still with them. failing that, hopefully with some of what was that group of 7 or 8.

Wow, we've just had 4 men pull into the penalty tent. Van Lierde, McMahon, Raelert & Lange have all stopped to serve their penalties.I'm surprised it was just 4

The Colonel is clawing his way back - never been so exciting to watch a black dot with a number 7 on it move along a highway.

is there a better site than just the quarq with the dots on the road? is there anything with a table showing splits? the quarq/beacon one isnt bad, but the lead and chase group are so bunched up you can hardly tell who is in the groups.

Why, you on a Moto out there? From my armchair here it looks like they are mostly riding very clean. 4 is quite a few this early, and will set a tone for everyone else's gaps. And I bet most are accidental encroachment and not passing, dont see anyone blatantly trying to push the limits.

As Raelert and the others who served penalties move up the field he'll be able to latch onto them and move up to the main field

Mostly because we've had 20 guys riding within 30 seconds, front to back, for the entire race. It seems pretty easy to get into a draft zone and not make a pass in that athlete density.

Seems like the riders positions are updating in groups making it hard to actually see where they are on the map. Trying to figure out where Jesse Thomas actually is... think he's a few riders behind Kienle... but cant tell

It definitely does put some strong boys a bit further back in the pack. Now let's see if they can work together.

I so agree but hillarious. Go lionel this will be a very different race if he is in the group climbing up to Hawi.
So bent McMahon got a penalty I guess dev called it.

jesse riding pretty good!
The entire event (IM) is like "death by 1000 cuts" and the best race is minimizing all those cuts and losing less blood than the other guy. - Dev

Can you look at just the pros? Looks like you can checkout individual age groups (I assume not every AGer has the tracker, just the people who rented it) , but can't look at just pros. Not so much an issue now but will be once they reach Hawi and you won't know who is coming and going. I remember last being a lot more user friendly

Ya looking at times and gaps, 1+ seconds is the lower limit, not sure of the tenths. So easy for someone to get caught out not paying attention, then not passing when they encroach. Like I said, you will see bigger gaps given by the guys now that they have seen some go to the tents. About as fair a race as one could hope for, hope Lionel will be ok with it after..(-;
