wrong…..how many times you race there? fast one way and slow the other every year….monty swim expert? :)

Ya, I only swam the race 15 times and another couple 100 times outside of the race. Just a fluke that almost 30 guys broke 49 flat or better on the same day. More than all the years before combined!! (-;

he looks a bit high on the front end as well... weird!

He always looked that way. Supossedly worked on position this year. I guess he went back to what works.

Sanders might want to pick it up a bit more. He is riding solo at 23 mph and the guys in the front are riding 23 mph in the group. His day is DONE! Maybe top 10 if he runs sub 2:40

I can't wait to read another drafting blog post...

Depends on how much work Rinny does to catch the front. Ryf is hard to beat when she is off the front.

25th place at 49-flat? why would you say the course is short?

Yeah, this one time a few years ago there were 25ish together and the leader only went 50:51 or so. Must have been a slow year that year, or maybe just a slow leader. :)

But yeah, 26th place out of the swim in 49:04, and most of those guys were at least 2 minutes faster than a few years ago...

On an average day, how much faster is Rinny's run over Ryf's? Anyone have a rough idea?

Hard to say. Two years ago I think Ryf was up 14 mins at t2 and rinny won, but ryf definitely improved alot since then. Last year rinny dnf ofc.

His GPS is not updating last update 15 minutes ago so it has him near the back of the race going backwards.

From doping to mechanical doping as there is more than enough room in that frame for a motor

exactly….was tongue in cheek response. Appreciate its hard to weed through the troll, Pubes, etc type posters. I know your background and was surprised to see your comment on record swim with you having swum there so many times….as have I not quite as many but enough to know.
I like the fact they still can't beat the ole day records….I'm 45 so not a dinosaur but….kinda am

I just wonder if we'll actually find out if the swim is 'accurate' now, or if maybe it was 'just' time to get a sub-8 Kona win...
