So 25 guys together and they are on 45+ pace. Unless there was a massive tail current, looks like the buoys got moved in, oh well..

Got to love that the commentators are completely ignoring the shortening of the swim course and acting as if nothing has happened and all of a sudden there are 15+males under record pace

Hard to tell without knowing which way the current is going, if any. We will know in a few minutes at any rate, Matt Leito just commented that looks to him the record is going down. 5th fastest guy in the world at the 1500 in swimming who held it too.

I think you are right, they don't have any idea, but someone should be telling them just from these threads here on ST. Someone on twitter or Facebook has to be mentioning it, aren't they?

If they were smart, they would just watch this thread and make use of each Easter egg that pops up!

One thing that is going to screw with guys like Lionel and Rapp is that they will be looking at their swim times not knowing they are not real, at least as compared as to how far they came out from the leaders. Maybe someone will tell them so they don't get too excited when they swim low 50's..

It actually may help them. If they come out and see the times they make think positively about their day and its helps them along. But I am guessing Jordan has been following the forum just a tad is probably aware of the course shortening.

I love how the German broadcast is talking about the different swimming courses and what they are different.

Is it just me or is the resolution crappy on the stream? There don't seem to be any options to adjust it?

Looking at the massive amount of guys swimming under 49, have to say it was shortened around 150 or so +/-50m. Guess they will now have to shorten the Womens gap to the men so they dont run head on anymore!

Love that the German broadcast is talking about the shorter swim.
