Sanders will crack the top 10 by T2 and by half way into the marathon will be in 4th.

his race was strong through about 40 or 50 miles. he's been fading a bit since then.

I'm glad to see Potts hanging in there (currently sitting 6th at +0:12). Would love to see him on the front. It'll be tough with the other names in that group though.

so the commentator just quoted the 7 mins lost by potts to be specifically due to the tires being 25c, and not because they were gatorskins w/ butyls...so he said likely no one is running "wide" tires. that ridiculous answer aside...

can someone give us a real answer as to what % of pros are running 25s?

Dude.... were not even at the 100 mile mark on the bike. He still has plenty of time to blow up. For all you know, he may run 3:15 due burning too many matches.

Personally, I think he's positioned himself very well. And I'm very surprised. I hope he has plenty left the tank.

Funny think he is just a little over 6 minutes back of the leader, which I would have said was not too bad at this juncture. But throw in 30 guys in that gap, and now it is not that good at all. Either a lot of guys are blowing today, or the top 10 to 15 is going to be really close..Probably the shortened swim..(-;

Does anyone here not think Phil Liggett (for only one example) would do a better PxP than Welch? Welch knows tri, but he's not a broadcaster and after X tries at this it's obvious he is either not capable or not interested in improving at it.

troy. can i get see if i can understand this? live tracking of this race is on going right here, at quarqrace, using the quarq qollector. yes?

meanwhile we have a competing technology being used for the pros. yes?

in the pro race, what i'm seeing are big gaps in time between the moments when the GPS is in range to deliver a signal back to the base station. is that because it's using cell technology? and the cell service sucks out there? or what?

now, quarq's tech, i don't see any indication whether there's a lag time. is that because there is no lag? or because you don't have that field? or what? how do i know the lag time? and how does the signal get sent from the qollector to the aggregator/base station?

I say finishes 3rd...behind Kienle and Potts (so says my race picks).

Downhill doesn't "favor" his strengths. But the fact that he didn't lose time, and others such as Thomas lost 2 minutes, you can see he did what he needed to stay within a good distance of the leaders.
