I remember as a kid on a bike I got bit. The next 14 days of rabbies shots were not very pleasant.

If the dog broke the skin and the dog whereabouts are unknown, guess what? ;-)

Wasn't a black lab named Samson was it? I'll tell him not to bite you next time.

Seriously, Samson wouldn't bite anybody, but my wife has been bit twice by other dogs when running. I've never been bit when cycling. Another good reason to ride more and run less.

Happened to me on a run last year, about a block from my house. The owner told he that the dog "only goes after runners and kids on bikes." Is that supposed to reassure me?
