I totally agree with you. And if I ever get hit, I hope it's either just a few minor injuries or the whole tamale. Being a quad or para is way scarier than death.

I did Cycle Oregon last year and a woman was killed on a very steep decent when she lost control of her bike and hit a tree. It was horrible and very tragic, but I thought well, she went doing something she absolutely loved, in an amazingly beautiful place and that's WAY better than slowly distenegrating from MS, ALS or cancer.

For the record, my love of cycling does not include speeding out of control downhill into trees. I tried it once and it sucked.

If I die this way, I will have gone doing something I absolutely hated.
