I have the aluminimum version. Mine are installed upside down similar to what slowman did with the Profile set he put on Bjorn's bike (to get the pads low).

The length is obviously very adjustable, but the armrest height is adjustable to 3 settings: no spacer, short spacer, tall spacer. The armrest cup is plastic, so you end up torquing down a bolt on plastic to get it tight. REAL easy to crack the cup at the bolt interface. No instructions provided w/ mine. The armrest pads just stick to the cup (no velcro).

All in all, pretty ghetto. I would try something from Profile like slowman did w/ Bjorn before I bought these again. It seem like someone else on the forum did something similar to slowman, but I can't remember who.
