2006 Ford Ironman Wisconsin sells out in less than five hours

MADISON, Wisc.-The 2006 Ford Ironman Wisconsin is officially closed to general entry.
If you were thinking about it, it's been decided for you already.

5 hours is nuts. I bet IMFL is just as quick this year to sell-out.
I wonder why Wisconsin sells out quicker than Lake Placid? Not much quicker but still quicker. Placid seems like the more desirable location. While Wisconsin is an easy drive from Chicago, Placid is an easy drive from NYC or Boston.
Active.com is still open for registration!

Yeah, don't see anything yet about it closed but it is close. Interesting to note that the entry limit is 2150? Cutting back some? Or are the other 450 community fund/CEO/sponsor/late pro/etc.?

Still open on Active.com at 3:45pm.
As for 2150 - don't fool yourself. I bet they sign up 2800 before the winter is over. With over 2600 signed up this year and only 2090 in the water IMNA knows they will have ~500 no shows. Since IMC started with over 2200 this year I bet they try to get at least that many at IMW for next year.
Interesting that the IM Wisconsin website is back to saying only about 150 entries left. Coordination between homebase, Active.com, and signups in Wisconsin must be a little hectic right now trying to get a full count of who's in. Now the problem is what to do over the next year with that $935,250.00 that just showed up in the bank account in the last 6 hours. I guess we should sell those last charity slots for 1k a piece. We'd like it to be an even $1Million.
