Frodo gets to keep The full distance crown a little longer, but I think The youngster Vikings have too much speed for him. But gonna be super exiting!:-)
I was about to say...Gustav pushing his IM debut back? Lol. But it was already known that Gustav and Jan were going to IM California, I thought. That's why Lionel had it on his schedule. Washed up footy player turned Triathlete.
Based on his videos, Lionel sounded excited to be part of the IM Cali field, but changed his course after IMCHOO. He's already done a bunch of IMs this summer and got his next 2 "Kona" slots.
I won't be surprised if we don't see him race gain until winter. He's not on that Daytona start list so it may be a while, unless he comes back for an Arizona/Florida.
How do people think will win? and will the winner take the IM record?
Knowing Jan he has trained for this the since collins cup. Giving him 7weeks of good specific preparation for California. He never turns up unprepared, and is good to peak.
Gustav will go from 70.3 worlds to Super League to his first ironman! Preparation will be 3weeks in altitude, and doing spesific work trying to turn himself in to an aerobic beast.
I give Jan 3-5min in to T2 and out on the run. And then... unknown territory!
The swim is current assisted. So will be interesting if it's enough time to make up in order to set a record. Washed up footy player turned Triathlete.
While I do not no know if he puts himself on the start line, in the last week he has put himself on the start list.
Lange showing up and racing is more intriguing than Iden or Sanders ... oh and that Wurf guy too ------------------------- Dave Latourette http://www.TTENation.com
