I'm now "Elite"
Just signed up for a local immposible to get into tri and did so by filling in the "Elite" box. I can do a top 10 over-all bike but I'm at the half for the swim and run. I hope the over 100yr group leaves behind us so I'll only get swallowed up by one group. My pace for swimming and running is about 2min per 100. It's not until mid july, so I should get to the pool.

Okay that is a little slow for swimming, but 2 min per 100m for running? Huh?

So did you basically lie to get into this race, if so what is the point?

Most local races will have elites go with us young guys (under 29), so you probably will not stand out at all.

I am also unsure of what your point is.

I've raced in local races where the spread on the men elite side for an oly ranged from 1:56 to 2:45. You'll be fine, if people ask why you swim was so slow tell them you went off course!
