How soon to start Barry P?

What is the proper time for waiting after a IM to start on the Barry P plan? Also where do you start with miles? If the max weeks were 40-45mpw is starting at half that a safe bet? Next race (A) is ~6months out after rest weeks.

Work backwards. Take your peak week before your A race, and plug in what you think you should be running for workouts that week. Then work it backwards to now.
