Is there a rule of thumb in determining whether to tilt your extensions? I notice I can comfortably get my elbows closer together if I tilt my hands up, but is that necessarily better? Just curious.

I personally tested out a lot of angles on my aerobars including 70-80 degree praying mantis, but settled on just a slight tilt up for power and comfort.

There is no rule of thumb regarding if it will be more aero, so barring testing.....
Most folks who tilt the bars do so for comfort, the rationale being the most aero position is the one you can hold for the entire race.
