This photo doesn't do the suit justice at all. It looks much better on and in person.

You're right about the bike though....

Does the male version also have the stripes that draw your eye to the crotch?

Actually, she looks a little embarassed or disgusted. And I have not seen many tris where a skinny wheeled tri bike is ridden on the sand.

Well we have pretty much ripped that flyer.

c'mon , why is everybody busting on the barbie dream bike?? You have to see it in person to really appreciate the awesome paint job. My six year old would love it.

I think it is a unisex type affair. Anyway, mine has the same stitching.

Geez, after all the guff about the flyer (the bike paint job is pretty wild) I think I should have just shot a photo of myself at the pool.

No you shouldn't have; she's still hotter than you.

So, did you see any appreciable speed gained in the pool using the suit?

To me that's the only reason to buy it. There's certainly no shortage of tri suits out there, but if it's somewhat faster in the water I'd get one.

Tai,

I do not think it is different at all. I believe it is the same suit. Look at the M on the suit in the picture. I believe that these are imported from Spain and are the Mosconi made in Spain? Just an observation...

I think it is a similar suit but the Hed suit has a zipper and a saddle pad. How would you get the thing on without a zipper?

Anyway, it swims super fast and is cool.

cool saddle pads are definetely a plus. I'm guessing the Mosconi suit I posted has a rear zipper but a front makes a lot more sense for tris ala the option for a little ventallation alteration mid race.

Any idea if the fabric looked breathable at all?

I was looking at the TYR Aquashift suits as well as the Speedo Fastskins and their major downsides were the lack of front zipper, a seam right across the crotch (ouch), and the breathability questing. You see lots of people at open ocean swims using "speed suits" for the swim and then ripping them off during T1. Sure would be nice to use the same suit the entire race.
