Help guide me out of "retirement"
I used to be real active in here in the early 2000s. Did Wisconsin in 04 and 06 and lots of half's. Had two kids (now 8 and 11), gained 40 lbs...then lost 40 lbs and set a PR in a half marathon last Jan.

Signed up for Eagleman today. I've been averaging about 80-100 miles a month running for about a year and have ramped up cycling again to about 300 miles a month. Just got a stages bike, so living up in CT I'm ready to go for the winter.

I grew up a swimmer so not worried about the lack of pools right now due to Covid. I can ramp that up quick in the spring.

My thought is try to work my ftp up on the bike the next three or four months and just get stronger there while keeping my running going like I was training for a half marathon til end of Jan then start a more focused half plan...does that sound good? Any other ideas?

Sounds to me like you are doing a lot of things right already. I would focus on your 1 hour bike power over the winter as well as 5k speed on the run.
