Garmin 705 file issues, anyone able to help?
I am having issues with my Garmin 705 producing "corrupt" files...training peaks won't take them. If I go into the history on the Garmin 705 head unit I can scroll through the laps no problem. Tried uploading into trainingpeaks.com, Garmin Connect, Golden Cheetah, nothing works.

Did a 20 min LT test today and I'd love to check it out!

Anyone know how to fix these files? I don't know enough, not even close, to edit them.

Don't I recall someone being able to "physician" the files? ;-)

Just kidding, I actually want to know what I was able to do!

I can email the file to anyone who thinks they might be able to do something.

Be careful not to download a crapload of other stuff while while at that hosting site!

I am having a similar issue with the files storing as laps in a History folder.

How is that fixed?

In 10-4's case, the file was missing an XML Tag </track> probably due to a bug in the software. He was getting an error when the application was trying to read it. I'm not sure if your problem is similar, but if you want to email me your file, I can take a look at it for you. I will PM you my email address.

One way that this usually starts to happen (if occuring more frequently) is that a Scan Disk needs to be done on the disk when you plug the 705 into your computer. It may even say "Yo, something's dorked up, do you want to fix it now?". Saying yes is ideal.

Though, one off's are different...they're just...well...par for the course.
