I'm on my second Garmin 245 and both units have developed problems with recording heartrate after several months of use. It's still measuring my HR (I can see the number on the screen) but it doesn't keep track of it -- the last 4 hours chart is just blank. It hasn't been tracking it since Saturday morning. It seems to develop the problem after I've plugged it in to charge -- when I put it back on after charging is when it doesn't start recording it again.

Is this a common problem with Garmins? Is there a way to prevent the problem, or to fix it? I've tried a soft reset and that hasn't helped.

When my first 245 had this problem and I contacted Garmin, they had me go through the various resets etc. and then just sent me a replacement. But now that it has happened to a second watch I don't know what to do.
