GI instead of Paleo diet
What's you thoughts on following a GI diet for a healthy endurance based lifestyle as opposed to the Paleo diet, which I'm still not convinced is the way to go...

The people of Okinawa, Japan, are one of the longest living on the planet but certainly dont follow anything like the Paleo diet.

I've been reading reviews of Rick Gallop's book ... "Living the GI diet" and am thinking of ordering it from Amazon.

has anyone read it and /or have any thoughts on GI allocated foodstuffs?

Thanks

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the paleo diet fall short when it comes to feuling an athlete? I specifically remember reading that extreme exercise is recomended while following it as it seriously lacks easily digestible carbs (which is why it is so good for your sluggo neighbor). That being the case, I think a glycemic index based diet makes more sense. This is not a new concept, by the way. Been followed for years by folks with insulin issues.
