Favorite movies for the trainer?
I've spent the past few days watching the Matrix and Matrix Reloaded, and had much fun sprinting during the fight scenes. Before that it was Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers. Before that I think I found a copy of Braveheart that we had lying around.

What are you watching?

This week has been The Punisher and X-Men 2

Anything with a lot of shooting is good. Dialogue not important.

...'cause that's what I feel like most times I'm on the indoor trainer.

(I'd better get used to it, though, I'm training for IMAZ up here in MPLS).

My wife just bought "Without Limits" and I can't wait to watch it...hopefully it will make a two-hour trainer session go quickly.

I rented Bourne Identity last year for a trainer session and that worked quite well.

Watching the greatest movie, not about cycling but heavily featuring cycling; "Breaking Away"; sprint the "Little 500", race the Cinzano Lorry - I love this film. Great lessons on life and fantastic dialogue (1979 Best Original Screenplay Oscar)

Enjoyed these on the trainer: Prefontaine, Miracle, Bend it Like Beckham, Mystery Alaska, School of Rock

Favorites (good soundtracks) but possibly for females only: Dirty Dancing, Top Gun, Flashdance

My husband enjoys tapes of European bike races but I much prefer stories.

Between this and the bikesport editorial, Tom is just revealing himself as a true romantic!

Plus, Titanic is a long movie... and trainer rides are long rides... the timing might just be perfect.

A good trainer movie is one that you want to see, but no one else wants to watch with you. I watch movies on the trainer that my husband has no interest in. That way I get to see them and he gets to escape them. It's a win/win!

Guys, come on- that movie has everything: Kate Winslett is a state-of-the-art fox in that movie. The scene with Leonardo DeCaprio sketching her? Come on guys- that may be the best scene ever commited to film.

Plus, the ship sinks- that's huge. Oh my God, that night gown she is wearing- and the corset scene. Damn. If that doesn't get your heart rate going you are a dead guy.

Yeah. I love that movie. A top three all time favorite.

Tom, admit it - you just like Titanic cuz Kate W is a "full-figured" girl.

If it were Cameron Diaz in that role (can you even imagine?) or Gwyneth Paltrow or Kate Hudson or some other skinny beanpole, you probably wouldn't even have watched long enuff to realize the boat sank at the end. ; )

" Yeah. I love that movie. A top three all time favorite "

It's official. You are a chick.

Please please please at least tell us that you can't stand Celine Dion?

I guess I need to get with the times, I only have a stereo and CD changer to keep me distracted. Maybe Santa will get me a cheapo DVD player for the basement?

I could watch Braveheart, The Matrix, or any of the Lord of the Rings movies again and again.

Fight Club would be a good one too.
