Favor to ask: aerobar bolt spacing
Hey all - I have a favor to ask. I have a onepiece aero bar that I'm working with, trying to see if I can get my fit right. (I'm been "Retuled" - trying to matching parts with numbers now..) The company that makes my bar doesn't make spacers/risers for their arm rests (i'm trying to get them a bit higher), so I'm trying to see if third party risers will work.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could measure the space between the armrest bolts (ie the bolts on the same side) on their Profile/Vision/Whateverbrand aerobars -I figure I can then compare that to my spacing to see if someone else's spacers will work for me.

Thanks a lot
Tim

I should be able to do that this weekend when I go home, re: vision.

[Curiosity] What bar are you using?

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. The bars are made by Swift Carbon ( http://www.swiftcarbon.com/...rike-tt-cockpit.html ) They are absolutely gorgeous, but I haven't been able to get them to quite fit me, stack/reach -wise. The "try to find spacers" quest is sort of my last attempt - as we speak, the bars are posted over in Classifieds. Frown

I think I get what your looking for...

Vision:
25mm (or 1") bolt spacing for the 2 bolts that attach the armrest bracket to the extensions. This distance is measured parallel to the extensions and is NOT adjustable.

For reference...the armrest have 3 sets of these "parallel" bolts that are spaced 15mm apart. These will allow you to move the brackets in/out (narrower or wider).

Is that what you are looking for?

Yes, exactly.. thanks. Sorry if I was a little unclear in my original post. That seems like it may be a bit wide for me. Anyone have any experience with jerry-rigging risers for the armrests? Is it worth the trouble?

Here you go:

Profile Design Spacers: 2 cm apart hole to hole
Zipp Vuka Clip-On Spacers: 2.5 cm apart hole to hole

Hope this helps. Those Swift Aerobars sure are sweet looking. Good luck.
