I was kind of shocked during some of the helicopter shots of L'Alpe today to read "Fuck Lance" "Lance Sucks" and "EPO Lance" among the messages written on the pavement.

Maybe I've never focused on it enough before but in the last couple of years I don't recall ever seeing any negative messages like that; perhaps a sign that maybe the public isn't quite so adoring or just a couple of bad apples"

Have others noticed nasty or negative road signs in the past directed at Lance or others?

I'm sure Lance is fine with that....it makes him ride that much faster. He likes the negative stuff, minus intrusion and foul purse straps.


Sure...it totally off base, but much of this "violent" behavior is the stupid radical left. Somehow the French are going to link Lance to our foreign policy.....

Painted on the road, that is... What is the french obsession with painting giant penises on the road anyway? I don't get that. There were at lease 6 or 7 painted on the road to La Mongie. I would almost expect that from the Germans, but not the French...
