<< my (now) fat ass handed

<< major spare tire around my waist
<< the race darn near killed me

and you wondered why a guy that trains, isn't fat, felt great and has done the course a dozen or so times beat you? I think you already answered your own question.

Tom, you got nothin' to be ashamed of. Not even a half of one percent of the guys who post here have done ten percent of what you have in terms of manly hard-man accomplishments.

Live a little, I say. You're supposed to put on some pounds after gettin' hitched; it's a compliment to Sarah. Plus, she needs to make sure you stay off the market for good. It doesn't do to have your hubby running around looking like a Mens' Fitness model for crissakes.

Spend your quality time together living the good life; fine dining and wine, strolls, "sleeping" in while you can.

Just put the skinsuit away for a few years, raise some kiddies, and then, if you still feel like it, go back on the SEAL plan, get ripped, and see what Emilio has in the catalog for the masters tri guys.

It's pretty manly of you to host a thread poking fun at yourself like this...almost makes up for bikesportgirl smoking your a$$ on the bike. ;) :P Nice work Sarah!

You have to fold the brim up and turn it a little sideways.

1) No one in California calls it "Cally"

2) We just think that style of hat is cool and what's a truck stop?

=)

Hey! Careful. I race in one of those hats. It may look gawdawful, but works great. Besides, I look like dork most of the time anyway.

I think the hat it is some skater/surfer so cal thing, there used be a lot cruising about when I lived that end of town.

To me it looks like hat that is great for big hair day!

As for how does Emillio does it, I've seen his shop a couple of times and watched his business grow over over the last 6 years. Number one reason is shear hard work from him and his employees, very closely followed by the importance he places on his customers.

Of cause this is all backed up with some of the best product on the market, but then maybe I'm biased due to my wardrobe being full of his gear :P

I'll happily trade your spare tire for mine Tom. You've got one of those mini things and I've got the full sized truck tire to go along with the trucker cap. AND my wife kicks my ass on a very regular basis. You never get used to it but the pain lessens over time.

So, this guy owns a company that kicks butt, is super fast, has that vaguely latin thing going on so chicks are always hanging around him.

I, on the other hand, was in the process of getting my (now) fat ass handed to me by my wife, /reply]

Yeah but your wife is HOT! :)

1) No one in California calls it "Cally"

Agreed. But only "we" know that and it helps us figure out who is just a tourist (not that we can't tell just bad your bad fashion sense). That's almost as maddening as people calling The City, "San Fran" or "Frisco." Oh, and people calling Sacramento, etc. "Northern California" or worse yet, NorCal. If you say "NorCal" you are from someplace that's not the Bay Area.

2) We just think that style of hat is cool and what's a truck stop?

I for one, have never "got" the trucker cap thing. Maybe it's just me. Then again, I have no tats nor piercings, so maybe it's just that I'm not cool.

P.S. Despite Emilio's cool/uncool hats, I am stopping by this afternoon to get me a pair of those 400 mile bibs. GOOD bib shorts are the one thing I wish I would have known about when I first started cycling.
