Dura-Ace or Zipps - convert to disc hubs??
I have googled this and found nothing.

Has anyone changed out hubs on their existing carbon wheels? where do you get the hubs?

Thinking ahead for my P5X.

Just kiddin!.. I actually want to use them on my commuter bike with 35mm CX tubulars. It's been a fantastically riding & responsive setup on my CX bike.

An issue with converting to disc is the need for more spokes in the front wheel. Zipp fronts are typically 18 spoke for rim brakes and 24 for disc.

Thanks - that explains it, and of course the hub will need added spokes to brace for the braking action.

I looked down at these disc wheels and "man that's a ton of spokes" not to mention they weigh a ton too. Turns the ride into a slugfest. Good for training though, like weight lifting.

Rare find, but I picked up a perfect match last night from cyclist/racer on Craigslist. Just a few minutes off my commuting route.

He was selling 2016 Reynolds Assault Tubular (disc of course) with 11 spd hub. Baby limus tires. All great shape too!

Loaded up some Stan's sealant for me, has presta extensions.

The front is a direct fit. The rear, swapped over the disc plate but... I need the 9/10 cassette spacer otherwise I could have been riding them today :)

Now I can take the hubs from the slug wheels and possibly convert my DA's ?? Who knows. There are 2x the holes required eg 32 Alex Rim vs 16 DA
