Does diet soda make you hungry?

I swear, it does me. Anyone else feel this way. Oh! I forgot--we aren't supposed to drink anything with fizz except a post race beer or champagne.

Yes it does. I think it's a reaction to the sweetness -- the body is expecting calories, and when it doesn't get them, it goes into hunger mode.

Healthy or not healthy, I almost always get a diet coke with meals when I eat out. Typically, since refills are generally free, I'll drink maybe two glasses before the meal and maybe another two during. This will fill me up enough that I have leftovers to take home and eat the next day.

But, to answer your question, no it doesn't make me hungry.

I do not by sodas diet or otherwise for home consumption. Lots of water to rehydrate and Cytomax banana yogurt shakes for recovery.
