Deconstructing 2004

I just looked over the xtri article "family man, deconstructiong 2004" by Ray Britt. Ya know, I gotta hand it to that guy it is really incredable that he can qualify for Hawaii on so little training. Also his article graphics are impressive, I mean keeping track of all that data and such. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure about his false humility though "The year 2004 was what I’d consider my third year as a reasonably competitive age group triathlete." I mean if he's a "reasonably competitive age group triathlete" whats that make me? I guess since I didn't make Hawaii (and have little chance as such), me and hundreds of BOPers/MOPers/FOPers must be a total flop. Get real! If you make Hawaii (let alone three times in a row) your in the top world class of triathlon competition, and probably one of the fittest people on the planet. Congratulations Ray. I couldn't go on with the article after I read that line though. I'm not interested in that kind of humility at the expense of others.
