Deburring Rim Spoke Holes
New and unused Velocity Dyad 36 hole rims came in and intend to use on CX/commuting/29 mtb. A number of the spoke holes are a bit jagged and even with Velox cloth tape, I could see it working through the tape to the tube.

Anyone deburr their spoke holes with a Dremel to minimize this risk? Any structural/design issues to consider?

Thanks.

A dremmel with the sanding bit is a great idea. I've used sandpaper in the past.

Velocity does not seem to deburr after drilling their rims. I just use a rat tail file or a scraper to clean up the holes. Also try blowing out the rim to clean out chips left over from the drilling as sometimes a few are left that you will hear rattling around.
