There are so me pretty serious climbs going though Lassen National Park but the roads, although generally pretty good quality, don't have a lot of shoulder room. If you are going to ride through there, I would leave early in the day and maybe avoid weekends. Although it is not nearly as busy a national park as others in the state, it still can get some traffic during the summer. The roads opened early this year in mid May while last year didn't open until June.

Beautiful scenery up there to be sure. I spend a bit of time up there every year as my folks retired in the Hat Creek area. Bring your fly rod too!

Get to Greenville school. Ride towards Taylorsville, through Genesee, up and around Antelope lake to make it 100 miles. There was a century there a couple weeks ago that is the best no doubt. It was on the Saturday of Memorial day weekend and maybe 4 cars passed us all day. I have pics of the valley that I can send.
