I have a Cannondale R5000 SI and last year both of the my cranks cracked (less thank 1yr old) in several places and the two piece design began separating. Cannondale warranteed them. It's been another 11 months and one of the cranks has cracked again. Replacement cost is apparently ~$500 if not under warranty. Should this be happening? I'm 200lb. ride 10k a year, do mostly tri's.

Anybody else have a problem with Cannondale's hollowgram cranks?

Can I replace these with a non-hollowgram crank?
