I'm doing the Bull Run Run 50 Miler on the 9th of April. It will be my first 50 miler.

I just did the Hat 50k run (my first ultra) and finished in 4:52. Although I was happy with my time (I was shooting for sub 5) I definitely ran a crappy race. It was much hillier than I thought and I went out way to fast and died the last 6 miles.

I'd like to run a smarter race at Bull Run Run. Can anyone tell me some of the specifics of the course? What kind of a terrain? Lots of hills? Tough course? Easy course?
