Brainstorming on bike strength, technique.
Anybody out there curious about complementary techniques to improve bike strength and technique ? I have made a lot of progress in my swimming by using the VASA swim bench and weight lifting. The tinkerer and inventor in me wonders if there could be any benefit in adjunctive techniques for bike strength. Right now, I can think of "muscle tension intervals", focused work on the computrainer, spin bike and rollers, and powercranks (which I have not tried). I wonder if there would be a role for a not-yet-existent device or trainer for the bike. It may be a moot point for endurance type riding in Ironman that most of us are interested in, but I could see applications for more explosive events like track racing, BMX or mountain biking. Thoughts, comments, or criticism ? I am envisioning some type of device based on the basic rotary cycle,or perhaps parts of it.
