Bottom Bracket Size Help..
How do I tell what sized bottom bracket I have. It is 68 X ____. I see 109 and 118 available online. Is there a "standard" size that most people use (standard OEM). Is it worth transfering my 2 year old Ultegra BB to a new frame or just replace it? Thanks a bunch!

68 is the shell size

The 109, 118 is the length of the spindle, if you take the crank arms off and measure the spindle from end to end, that's the length in mm.

Doubles are in the 109mm range, triples are wider.

I think Jaret is probably right if I were to guess. You have a pretty good chance of being right with a 108-110 ish range on a double. MTB stuff and triples are usually the higher numbers. The ez way would be to measure like he said.

It was the square-taper Dura Ace that was something like 103. You won't screw it up if you ran 109, and I am almost 100% certain that 109 is a double.
