Well, the snow is here to stay for the next 3 months or so and that means i'm regulated to the computrainer and such. Since this is my first off-season integrating Tri-workouts, I am wondering what is an appropriate amt of time to spend on the indoor trainer for those of you focused on longer tri's (IMs) next season. My big A-race isn't until Nov 2006 so I'm just interested in building a nice solid base. I am able to do about 2 hrs on the trainer but after that, my mind just wanders. It's so strange b/c I can run 3-5 hrs without any problem but the bike is another thing...

I hear you brother. I just set up my trainer this morning. I'm about to ride it now for the first indoor ride of the season. Won't be outside riding until the beginning of April. It sucks riding indoors.

Learn to love your trainer. I am one with mine.

Don't ride, run 60-70 a week and swim then start cycling in late Feb or early March and you'll be fine.
That's what I do too, but more like 40 to 45 miles running this winter.
