From my understanding John Cobb hasn't been involved with Blackwell for a few years. I think Popp (one of the Blackwell guys) lurks around here. But, the address has moved from Minnesota to Texas, so my guess is that he's not involved anymore.
Perhaps Slowman can write an update on the BS, Cobb, Hed, Oval, Blackwell love story.
