I like Richie at Breakaway BIkes in Philly

x2 on Richie. He learned fitting under David Greenfield, does a very thorough job, you pay once then he lets you come back for adjustments.

Where is Breakaway located? I imagine them (having Richie and Max there) and Cadence will be getting a boost in business from Elite owners.

If you are willing to make a little drive, I would highly recommend Garrison's Cyclery in Wilmington, DE. Rob and crew are extremely knowledgeable and spend the time doing the fit right. Plus no sales tax, so that's a huge plus.

I have bought bikes from both Cadence and Garrison's and I would go to Garrison's 100x before going back to Cadence.

I'm sorry to disappoint you with the south street shop closer; it was a very disheartening experience for me as I had done everything in my power to continue its operation as a flag ship store front for the brand. Regrettably several factors beyond my control made it impossible to keep that location available. It’s unfortunate that the added free benefits and features that the location provided for the Elite Bicycles owners is not currently available, however, I do intend to re-open a Philly based location to serve the local Elite community.

The brand itself is committed and has been continually manufacturing and delivering custom racing personal perfection throughout the world market. Elite Bicycle production is currently more fluid, diversified, and prompt, and is moving in a very positive direction. There is in fact a very active flag ship location open in Singapore and numerous additional outlets globally. I am currently traveling throughout Southeast Asia working on Elite bicycles brand development, and the promotion of advanced biomechanical body positioning and cycling science to an emerging cycling community. I am currently in negotiations to engineer and develop an exciting new project that will change the cycling and multisport face of several nations. I will be returning to the states periodically and in the not so distant future, feel free to contact me directly with any and all questions david@elitebicycles.com

Thanks for replying, David. I'm sure this wasn't a decision you made lightly. Re-opening something in Philly would be great.

BTW, this is Rich Woods, proud owner of a very large green Magnus with yellow handlebar tape, AKA "The John Deere".

Thanks for all your help, good luck in the future, and here's to hoping our paths will cross again. Peace.
